Lucky Mutts Rescue would like to take this time to think of Jazz. She passed on this past summer. She was found neglected and abandoned by a dedicated Lucky Mutt foster and nursed to health about 5 years ago.
Jazz was an older dog when placed. The older dogs are a treasure. She introduced a new family to dog ownership. She showed them how great a
canine companion can be. Adopting an older dog bypasses the often tumultuous puppy years, providing a steady companion to their new family sooner than later. Despite the advantage of adopting an older dog,
the wonderful older dogs have much less interest. Currently, we have Missy, whom is really still quite a young lady at approximately 3 years of age and she is past the puppy stage. We also have Bean still available.
.
All of our current dogs are healthy and ready for a loving family!
We see a lot of dogs that have neglected injuries. Once neglected, it is more expensive to correct and recovery is more difficult. We hope people are aware of Animal Trustees of Austin
who will perform surgeries at reduced cost to help
you help your animals live a healthy, long life. Please contact them for a consultation ($10) to see if they can help you. They do tumor removals, fracture repair, ACL repair, you name it!
If you donate to a specific dog and they have been completely funded, we will use your donation for another dogs' needs. Since we have no office, kennel, or paid personnel, our overhead is small,
so all the money goes to the dogs!

Our dog(s) of the month is Daisy Daisy wants to be your friend. She was abandoned with a litter of pups. Her pups have all found homes, but Daisy
has been in foster for over a year. The older dogs always take longer to find their forever home. We are not sure why---they are actually less work than puppies! They are already potty trained and leash trained!
She needs a home that will have provide boundaries and stability for her. We enjoy Daisy and know her perfect family is out there!.

Dogs
feel very strongly that they should always go with you in
the car, in case the need should arise for them to bark violently
at nothing right in your ear.
