Lucky Mutts Rescue does not have foster homes to take in surrendered dogs directly. However, we can help you in several ways:
1. Provide resources to assist you in keeping your dog. If you think you have to give up your dog because: ”baby on the way”, “my dogs don’t get along”, “I don’t have time to exercise”, “my dog chews, barks, escapes the yard….” You don’t! We can help guide you to the right resources to correct these issues! It is simpler than you think. We understand how some issues seem overwhelming and we can help break it down.
2. If you found a dog or truly can not keep your dog, we can help you place the dog using our resources. You will need to continue fostering the dog or find a foster. We will also help you with resources to help make that dog more adoptable, if needed. READ MORE
3. If you feel overwhelmed with medical costs, we can help you find the right contact at Animal Trustees of Austin, a local non-profit. They perform low cost heartworm treatment, spays and neuters, various surgical procedures, vaccinations, and microchipping. They are available for consults for broken bones, torn ligaments, dental work, and anything else that can go wrong with your dog (or cat!)! |
