Lucky Mutts Rescue is working on putting together a new website...so we have been slow in updating this one and I apologize for that! Look for our updated version over the next one to two months..we are making progress! We are a little slow as we all balnce our volunteer work with careers. If you would like to volunteer, please let us know!

FOSTERS NEEDED!!

We are alays looking for fosters. We can only rescue as many dogs that we have fosters homes, since we do not have a kennel. Please volunteer to foster. It is a rewarding experience and a joy to watch the rescues blossom into wonderful pets and bond with their forever family when they are ready! Help transition the street dog to a wonderful companion for a new family!

.

All of our current dogs are healthy and ready for a loving family!

We see a lot of dogs that have neglected injuries. Once neglected, it is more expensive to correct and recovery is more difficult. We hope people are aware of Animal Trustees of Austin who will perform surgeries at reduced cost to help you help your animals live a healthy, long life. Please contact them for a consultation ($10) to see if they can help you. They do tumor removals, fracture repair, ACL repair, you name it!

If you donate to a specific dog and they have been completely funded, we will use your donation for another dogs' needs. Since we have no office, kennel, or paid personnel, our overhead is small, so all the money goes to the dogs!

Our dog(s) of the month is Bree Bree is a clever puppy who simply wants to be your friend. She was likely born January 2009. She was discarded on the highway at 8 week sof age and rescued by a good samaratin. She managed to get through the ordeal with only broken a toenail and a couple of scratches. It is now a distant memory as she has been in a good foster home for most of her life. She was found as fat, little puppy, so her mom was good to her and she likely did not know any neglect in her young life.

See more pictures of Bree.

Dogs feel very strongly that they should always go with you in the car, in case the need should arise for them to bark violently at nothing right in your ear.
