Aggie – 4 year old, 43lb Boxer. Have you ever seen such a sweet face? Aggie’s sweet face mirrors her sweet personality. Unfortunately for sweet Aggie, it is apparent that whoever had her before coming to Lizzy’s used her repeatedly for one purpose, and one purpose only. to have as many puppies as possible as quickly as possible. For a four year old dog, she looks like she is much much older due to the grey muzzle, but the vet is positive she is young. The grey reminds us of the pioneer women who had so many kids and worked so hard that at 30, they looked 70. Unlike those women, Aggie’s spirit is not broken, and she is as happy as can be. She has never met a stranger and she loves other dogs. She doesn’t seem to know how to play with a dog, but she does love to hang out with them. We are not sure how she does with cats except to say she doesn’t seem to be bothered by them, but we have not seen her reaction when they run away… We don’t think she would care.. She just got spayed (and we think she would thank us if she could), is up to date on vaccines, etc. Aggie is heartworm positive and will have heartworm treatment the middle of January. After treatment she will need 6 weeks of R&R. After heartworm treatment, Aggie will be heartworm free and there will be no after affects to be concerned about. We are hopeful we can find a foster family or forever family by the beginning of January so she will be able to acclimate and get comfortable before treatment and can rest and relax with her new forever family or foster family. Aggie would make a great first time dog for a family and a great apartment dog. She is house trained and crate trained, and we have yet to hear her bark. Aggie is looking for a forever family or a foster family. Aggie is looking for a foster or forever family. Email us with questions at lizzyshospice@gmail.com.
