| The Last of a Wonderful Litter...Just beautiful! Got Ears?! | | This is Harrison as in George Harrison. He was found along the side of the road with his other three brothers in the country. Fortunately, we found the puppies before the coyotes or a car did! He lets you tug on his ears, roll him on his back and pull his tail with no issues. He doesn't startle with a baby noises or anything!
He is now about 5 - 6 months (born Jan-February 2008 approximately) and it looks like he will be more like 60 - 70 lbs when he grows up! He is gorgeous! As he grows , he is looking more like a german shepherd with leopard catahoula markings. His personality is definitely more german shepherd like. He quickly bonds to people.
We do require all adopters to enroll in basic obedience training with their puppy so they (and the adopter!) learn to basic manners to make a wonderful forever partner! | Active, loving Pup | | Josie was rescued from the local kill shelter after her owner abandoned her. her owner no longer wanted the responsibility of taking cate of her leg fracture...afterall, she was no longer perfect. But, we think she is perfect just the way she is! We fixed her old fracture and provided her a loving foster home to get her ready for your home! Her leg is practically healed. She is only about 8-10 months (as of July 08). She is very exuberant, but so willing to learn. When you are chilled, she will chill. When you want to play, she is all there, ready to go! She will do great in a home for the first time dog owners or a family with kids. We do require all adopters to enroll in basic obedience training. The family that takes on Josie will get hooked on training as you will see a remarkable difference with this smart, eager dog in a short time with consistent training and exercise.

| Let's Play!! | | Billy Bob is smart and loves to learn new things. He also would be a great agility dog or a dog for an active family. Billy Bob enjoys playing with other dogs, but needs to be supervised during play as he tends to play a bit exuberantly. He does need a family that is in charge and will continue to allow him to be his wonderful self with boundaries. He is a great ball chaser. He will retrieve all day long if you let him, but he can also retrieve just for 10 minutes per day and that is good. Whatever you want to do he will happily do.
Billy Bob was rescued from euthanasia at Town Lake and we are just happy to be able to give this guy some more time to find his perfect family. His friendly attitude, drive to play with toys, and cute little face was what captured our hearts. Come and meet him at our Meet and Greets!

| Sweet, Fun and Super Good! | | Donut is a treat! He followed his foster mom home one day and she couldn't
say "no" to delightful Donut. He gets along excellently with other dogs and
loves every human that he meets. He just wants to be petted and he very much
wants to please. He is about 10 months old but already knows how to walk on
a loose leash and to sit. He is learning "down". He sits automatically
before going outside or when he wants a treat. In addition to being playful,
Donut is an excellent snuggler and would be just as happy to watch a movie
with his owner as he would be to run around outside. For a puppy, he is very
self-directed and doesn't mind playing with his Nylabone or taking a nap on
his dog bed. He is crate-trained and housebroken but still loves to fight
the vacuum (his foster is working on his fear of all cleaning supplies).
And he is a handsome dog too! He has beautiful brindle markings, adorable
dots and a cute pit bull face coupled with gorgeous brown eyes. It is
impossible not to love this dog.
Donut is very trainable. He learns quickly and wants to please and is a very
motivated student. With a little effort he could become a model of dog
behavior. Happy and energetic, but not hyper, he is the perfect companion.

| Sweet As Butter and Simply Irresistible | | Butter is a very sweet and affectionate dog who was discovered tied up to a swingset in a neighbor's yard along with her puppies. The good samaritans who took her in couldn't keep her or her pups, but they were the best thing that happened to them. The puppies have found great homes, and now it's Butter's turn. Butter loves to just hang out with people, allowing them to love on her. She loves car rides and playing with toys. Butter needs a home that is active as she loves to run and loves the outdoors. Butter is crate trained, and appreciates a good kong stuffed with yummy treats to keep her occupied. Butter needs someone willing to enforce boundaries and she needs to live in a home without other pets so she can get all the attention she deserves :o)

| This is a FUN dog! | | Daisy is fun and loving! She was a little shy at first but quickly blossomed into a fun loving girl. She'll roll on her back to show her irresistible spotted belly but she's just as happy entertaining herself. Nothing tickles her more than a squeaky tennis ball. She'll dip her head then throw it back sending the ball flying & even catches her own throw! As much as she loves it she is no selfish gal. She'll be more than happy to share it with you. The fun doesn't stop there because toys bring out the show off in her. She is quite proud to prance the ball around in her high stepping boxer style. She's got lots of stamina but respects when it's time to settle down at your feet . A little massage is so blissful this girl will even close her eyes & smile at you while you're petting her. Daisy is looking for a home that is willing to continue her basic obedience training and has NO cats! We have found that she LOVES agility! | Super Friendly Dog | | Hooper is approx. a 10 month old male Dalmatian mix with a loving, affectionate personality. Quite playful and enjoys games or walks with people. He enjoys car rides, chasing a ball or any toy and also walks nicely on leash . Being the friendly guy he is , he does not know a stranger but is great at sticking close by . | School's Out - Looking for a New Home Now! | | Memo was found hanging out at the local elementary school. He has a GREAT temperament. He loves all kids and is very gentle with them. He will follow my two kids anywhere, pasture, or in the yard. I have been starting him with basics-sits, waits, heel, come and he is learning fast. He is very biddable. At home Breanna, age ten does his training with him, including doing the figure eights. He is not aggressive to either my dominant male Aussie or my male rat terrier mix, nor the neighbors dogs. We walked by the neighbors cows, zebras and antelope and he did not show aggressive behavior to them. He gets along well with the cats, although initially scared of them. He behaved very well at the vet office, not aggressive to people or dogs. We are working on crate training. He will sit and wait for his food. He is just very, very good and wants to please. In the car he is very calm and laid down on the passenger floorboard. He just wants to be with people. I am a little concerned his prior home may have been abusive to him, he follows me around whenever I work in the yard, but when I grab a shovel or broom or stick he cowers a little. She is the mother to Lucky Mutts: Dylan and Dax, who we were able to rescue last fall. We are not sure when sweet Missy will be ready for adoption. She was hit by a car approximatley 3 years ago.
She only received her first medical treatment last week to help her endure the old wounds. An FHO was completed to clean out dime-sized chips of bones floating in her hip joint. She has been amazingly adaptable to her physical condition as so many dogs are.
We are currently trying prescription medication to see if that will help her incontinence issue. And after she fully recovers from the FHO, we will see if we can help her knee. She will need pain medication for the rest of her life to lessen the pain of the resulting arthritis. Through it all, she is a champion. She has never uttered a complaint. | The Spunky Pup Leader | | McCartney, as in Paul McCartney, is the spunky leader of this foursome of brothers found along a country road. All of these pups have no problem with you tugging on their ears, rolling them on their back, scratching their tummy, and pulling their tail. They are all very social!
We expect these characters to be medium sized dogs ---40 to 50 lbs--- this is only an estimate. We are estimating their age to be approximately 3 months as of May 17th, 2008.

| Gorgeous blue merle pup! | | Ringo Starr was found with his three other brothers along the side of a country road. He is lucky to be found! The foursome stuck together. It appears they may have been there for a short while as they were pretty skinny when we found them all. As the pusp have gotten older---they all look blue merle now (not much brown to be seen!) and it is very difficult to tell Harrison and Ringo Starr apart. The pup we are calling Ringo at this time appears more confident than Harrison. Both are social friendly pups, but Ringo appears to be more of the leader between the two.
We are now estimating these pups to grow to 60 to 70 lbs. The pups appear to be born around February 2008.

| Beautiful, easy going puppy | | This young boy was found dumped in the country along the side of the road along with his three brothers. This is the more laid back puppy and the lightest colored one of the bunch. He has no problem with you messing with his ears, mouth, tummy, pulling his tail. He even relaxes.
His name is Lennon as in John Lennon. He will be neutered May 20th and begin his vaccinations at that time. We estimate him to be approximately 3 months of age as of May 17th.
He is gorgeous and will be a medium sized dog (40-50 lbs approximately)!
